Energy Network - Customer Service Business and Gas and Electricity Network Maintenance Services

CDL staff were engaged to provide commercial and financial advisory services in relation to an energy networks customer service business and gas and electricity network maintenance servicesThe project required an assessment of the feasibility of outsourcing the customer service business (annual revenue $50 million) and structuring of an alliance agreement for gas and electricity network maintenance services (annual contract value $75 million).

 

 

 

Coliban Water – Three Public-Private Partnership Infrastructure Projects

CDL staff were engaged by Coliban Water, a regional Victorian water board, to provide commercial and financial advisory services in relation to three public-private partnership infrastructure projects. CDL’s role encompassed:

  • Evaluation and analysis of a number of delivery mechanisms including Design Build Operate (DBO) and Build Own Operate Transfer (BOOT) schemes over a time frame of 20+ years
  • Analysis of financial and commercial details of bidder submissions
  • Development of a benchmark financial model

 

 

Citipower / Powercor– Submission Regarding Price Review of Electricity Distribution

CDL was engaged by Powercor to assist with its submission to the independent regulator with respect to the price review of electricity distribution. CDL’s role encompassed:

  • Development and coordination of Powercor’s submission with respect to the weighted average cost of capital
  • Detailed financial modelling of Powercor’s business
  • Analysis of three investment proposals
  • Development of an internal paper concerning Powercor’s cost of capital

 

 

Origin Energy Acquisition of Sun Retail

CDL staff provided structuring advice, credit analysis and documentation negotiation as part of a sole lead arranger and underwriter role for the $A800m syndicated bank debt facility to finance Origin Energy’s acquisition of Sun Retail.
